Where were we?
Where are we now?
Where will we be?

We dedicate this project to the student activists and organizers whose memories continue to beat in the archives we tap into. This website is intended to contextualize the history of the Asian American Diaspora Studies program at Duke University with the goal of including faculty voices through oral histories. Ultimately, we attempt to unravel the question of, "Now what?"

AADS W/O BOUNDS

We conducted an interactive class activity with our "Asian American Community History" class taught by Dr. Calvin Cheung-Miaw. After splitting students into groups, we asked them to discuss the following question, "If you were not bound to any rules, what would you like AADS to look like?" Afterward, we asked other students not part of the class to provide their thoughts, including members of the Asian American Studies Working Group (AASWG).
